Annick Goutal
Honoring the traditional methods of fragrance making, Annick
Goutal founded her perfume house on the principles of Originality,
Authenticity and Refinement. Annick Goutal Parfums' distinctly
unique character is evident in everything from the exclusive
compositions derived from the highest quality natural ingredients
to the bottles handcrafted by master glassmakers. Each fragrance
is composed note by note like a symphony to form a precious
bouquet, bringing together only the noblest and rarest of natural
essences.
Today, Camille Goutal, Annick's daughter, and Isabelle Doyen,
Annick's assistant, are team members of the creation department.
Isabelle grew up in Tahiti and spent her life as a perfumer with
Annick. Camille and Isabelle continue the Annick Goutal traditions
in developing extraordinary fragrances and now skin treatment
creams.
At bath time, l'Eau d'Hadrien - the most well-known - a sparkling
blend of Sicilian lemon, grapefruit, citron and cypress emanates
the richness and quality of its natural essences through a line
of luxury mini-toiletries, which embody both the Annick Goutal
fragrance realm and an upscale hotel image. These lines serve to
pamper both your male and female clientele.
In Italy, Annick Goutal herself worked to compose the marvellous garden of fruit ripened scent of l'Eau d'Hadrien. She then added cypress, a base note which would echo the Tuscan gardens and landscapes. Annick Goutal spoke eloquently of the scent that can be obtained by rubbing the branches between your palms. The fragrance is an expression of Annick Goutal's great love for the South. It also owes its inspiration to Marguerite Yourcenar's novel "Memoirs of Hadrien", a brilliant literary interpretation of the life of the emperor. This perfume is universal and timeless, evoking the freshness of citrus fruits in the shade of a lemon tree.
